White birch bark chandelier.

The birch lampshade is handmade from birch bark collected from fallen trees in the White Mountains, NH, constructed with a gold mesh interior and frosted glass bottom.

Each piece of bark has been detached (from a fallen tree), carried (down a mountain), washed, flattened, coaxed, and sewn together (all by hand) to nurture the feeling of calm and splendor that a walk in the woods provides.
